Our Business Conduct and Ethics
Since its founding in 2000, WuXi AppTec has helped advance discoveries and innovation in the global healthcare industry, with a vision that every drug can be made and every disease can be treated. Through access to our capabilities and technology, customers are able to advance small molecule drug R&D and manufacturing; cell therapy and gene therapy R&D and manufacturing; drug R&D and medical device testing; and clinical development services that have life-saving and groundbreaking impacts globally.

Data Security and Privacy
A core tenet of our business is to preserve the trust, confidence and privacy of our customers. Data privacy and security is our highest priority. Since our founding, WuXi AppTec has maintained a strong track record based on a rigorous and multi-layered internal process – everything we discover, develop and deliver to our customers is secure, separated and protected. WuXi AppTec ensures that all personal identifiable information (PII) is anonymized and protected. Further, we maintain a robust system of corporate governance to ensure customers' information is protected and used in accordance with the guidelines laid out by our customers and global privacy and healthcare policies.
Intellectual Property Protection
Integral to the continued success and competitiveness of our customers – and therefore a lifeline of our business – is their unique intellectual property (IP). Our approach to IP protection is embedded in our founding principles of integrity, unwavering commitment to global quality standards and world-class security. Our standards include a comprehensive IP management and infringement accountability system. We are dedicated to adhering to industry best practices in all of our facilities worldwide.
Global Standards
WuXi AppTec adheres to global quality and regulatory standards across all business operations – including raw material procurement, R&D and processing, production and product quality management. WuXi AppTec frequently conducts internal quality audits and has received regulatory approvals from – and are routinely audited by – agencies in Australia, Canada, China, the European Union, New Zealand, Switzerland, and the United States. We provide industry-leading products and services to partners all over the world and are proud of our strong reputation for conducting high quality work and for earning the continued trust of our customers.
Business Ethics and Anti-corruption
WuXi AppTec has zero-tolerance for any form of corruption. Since our founding, we have maintained a steadfast commitment to the integrity of our work, and we strictly adhere to local laws and regulations and the highest standards of business ethics across the regions in which we operate. Research and Development Ethics
WuXi AppTec consistently adheres to bioethical standards across all research projects. We support innovative advances in research and technology that allow for groundbreaking and life-enhancing discoveries, and expect our customers' research to abide by ethical norms and guidelines established by policymakers, regulators and industry associations.
Environment, Health and Safety (EHS)
WuXi AppTec seeks to reduce the environmental impact of our operations by improving how we conduct our operations. Our goals are to reduce the environmental impact of our supply chains, prevent pollution and use our resources efficiently. We seek to promote the well-being of the environment and our global society across all business operations.

WuXi AppTec is committed to production safety. All WuXi AppTec facilities meet stringent safety standards and strictly abide by the relevant laws and regulations of their local jurisdiction. To supplement these standards, we have established corresponding risk prevention and management systems.
